Coming up this weekend, catch the Killer Shot: Lost Eden with Tim Laman, the final part of the specials, on National Geographic Channel-Astro 553 at 8pm. The programme will feature the final shoot of his latest National Geographic assignment: to capture the wildlife of Australia’s Cape York Peninsula and the adjacent areas of southern New Guinea across the Torres Strait.

One of the last great wild places on earth, this untouched region harbors rain forests, heathlands, sand dunes, wild rivers, savannahs, and pristine coastlines – each with its own spectacular wildlife. By 4 wheel-drive, boat, bush plane, and hard slogging, Tim with the help of his Canon EOS 1DC & EOS 5D MK III, has been documenting the stunning bird life of the region – from fairy wrens to gorgeous Palm Cockatoos – plus flying foxes, freshwater crocodiles, tree frogs, frilled lizards, monitors, and geckos.

Aside from the programmes, you can view up-close, some of the specially selected images from Cory Richards’ and Tim Laman’s archives at the photo exhibition.
