This is sad. According to news sources, Malaysian actress Almy Nadia now sells curry puff with her mother to help with day-to-day expenses. Almy Nadia Aminuddin Shah, 27, said that her ‘little business venture’ in Penang with her mother fills her spare time because the actress is unable to get a gig.
“I’m trying not to burden anyone, especially my family members even though I haven’t had an acting opportunity yet. It’s still ‘rezeki halal,’ she said while speaking to Mstar. “Even if there was an opportunity for an appearance, I would still accept it even if it was for a mere RM100,” added the actress.
Almy also added that a numerous amount of actresses have showed up in the industry thus making it competitive. He also said that her lack of skill in ‘marketing’ herself to production houses contributes towards the worsening situation.
