Not entirely shocking, it looks like Adam Levine has used social media to make a point, or in this case, his. Maroon 5 front man, has started a wage with MTV and Fox News in the past but this time he attacks Mother Monster, Lady Gaga.
Adam tweeted, “Ugh..recycling old art for a younger generation doesn’t make you an artist. It makes you an art teacher.”
The Voice coach then added, “”I unabashedly love writing and performing pop music for both myself AND everyone around me. That’s It. It doesn’t need any extra sauce.”
Though he didn’t call out to or mention Lady Gaga directly, the pop star and her fans believed the tweets were aimed for her. In response to Adam’s tweets, she tweeted “uh oh guys the art police is here.”
Though there has been no further interaction between the two, it wouldn’t be totally far fetch to say that Adam was criticising Gaga as it was quite obvious that she was referring to Gaga’s Applause music video. In the video, she features several referrences of famous works of art, including the 1957 film The Seventh Seal and Sandro Botticelli’s 1486 painting, The Birth of Venus.
