Its time to get your Dew on as Dew Challenge returns with more challenging trials of endurance guaranteed to get your adrenaline going – only this time, it’s on land, sea and up in the air!

Organised by Mountain Dew, this year’s edition of the extreme challenge pushes the excitement level to new highs having finalists taken completing challenges nationwide in an exhilarating one-day event, and offering winners a boatload of fantastic prizes.

Another twist sees the fun starting even before the final as Mountain Dew has set up seven regional venues. Winners from the trials, as well as those selected online will qualify for the final, where they’ll go head to head with other regional winners.

All in all, a total of 70 finalists will be selected for the Cabaran Dew Xtreme final which will be held at Berjaya Times Square. Participants lacking ‘Dew’ qualities like fearlessness, speed and razor-sharp wits will be eliminated until only two are left standing.

The remaining two finalists will then face-off in various challenges to determine the winner. Cabaran Dew Xtreme not only offers over-the-top challenges, it also offers prizes worth over RM250,000. The Grand prize winner drives off with a Chevrolet Colorado 4×4 truck while the runner-up goes home with a Chevrolet Sonic. Last year’s challenge gave away prizes worth over RM150,000, so this year’s will see the main winners and other contestants walking away with a whole lot more!

The first-of-its-kind competition and a guaranteed nerve-tingler, the Dew Challenge: Cabaran Dew Xtreme 2013 is the follow-up to 2012’s Extreme Ride, which saw Mohd Khairil Izwan outlast 19 other contestants to emerge the winner of a Chevrolet Colorado 2.8 (M) Adventure Edition 4×4 truck. The first edition kicked off in 2011 with Traindewmonium, where Fung Yoke Yan claimed the Grand prize after ‘outdewing’ his fellow finalists during a 15-hour train journey from KL to Butterworth and back again and at the finals at KL Sentral.

Those interested in taking part in the regional challenges can register via Facebook or keep an eye out for roving Cabaran Dew Xtreme teams at colleges and universities nationwide. They can also simply walk in to any one of the seven challenge venues, register themselves and accept the Dew Challenge. But keep in mind that its best to log on online to reserve a spot as participation is limited.

The dates and venues for the preliminary challenges are as follows:

  • September 28-29: Dataran Pahlawan Megamall, Melaka

  • October 5-6: Gurney Paragon, Penang

  • October 12-13: Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur

  • October 19-20: Berjaya Megamall, Kuantan

  • October 26-27: City Square, Johor Bahru

  • November 9-10: The Curve, Selangor

  • November 15-16: Alor Star Mall, Kedah

Similar to last year’s Challenge, there will also be extreme tests for the public and other activities at Berjaya Times Square Boulevard on the day of the final, on December 14.
