Price for RON95 petrol and diesel will be raised by 20 sen per liter effective midnight! Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said thet the move is aimed at reducing fiscal deficit and will save approximately RM1.1bil per year for the Government.

Rumours circulating the social media networks stating that there may be an increase of RON95 fuel prices from RM1.90 per litre to RM2.10 per litre by midnight!
Although the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism had denied any fuel price hikes, social media sites have been questioning the rise of the prices:
Fuel prices of the RON95 type has not been changed in Malaysia since 2012, whilst RON97 prices remain at RM2.70 per litre since May 2013.
