Academy Award nominated and Golden Globe Award winner, James Franco, has recently debut his latest directorial effort, “Child of God”. The film was based on a novel written by Cormac McCarthy about a loner who becomes a serial killer in the 1960’s, starring Scott Haze as the main character.
Cormac McCarthy’s novel is said to contain some horrifying imagery and the recently released trailer manage to raise the hairs on our backs. James Franco and Tim Blake Nelson co-stars in “Child of God” to which Franco also adapter for the screen. The film debuts this week at Venice Film Festival being the third installation of Franco’s film this year to feature in the prestigious film fest.
James Franco played many roles in his career as an actor, starring in movies including Pineapple Express, James Dean, Spider-Man, 127 Hours and the list goes on. The A-list star has directed over 20 movies throughout his career naming Fool’s Gold, The Ape, As I Lay Dying and Sal. Besides acting, directing and writing, Franco also currently teaches a course in screenwriting at his alma mater, University of California, Los Angeles.
