The Norse god, Thor might have to drop his mighty hammer and trade it for body slams instead as Hulk Hogan couldn’t resist suggesting the hunky Chris Hemsworth to play himself in the big-screen biopic.
The pro-wrestling legend was asked in interview about who he’d like to see rock the iconic moustache and to rip-off tank tops. Apart from his son Nick Hogan, he suggested the Aussie hunk instead. Hemsworths’ buffed up body was also a plus point for the Hulk’s suggestion. We’d like to agree!
The Hogan Knows Best star also revealed the exact progress of the project, saying development was at its extremely early stages. “”Two kids that are writers in L.A., two hot young writers, they did a four-page treatment and I’m telling you they nailed it—they nailed it like they were living in my shoes—and I gave them the green light to go ahead and write the first pass. But that’s all it is,” he said.
Tony Bollea or better known as the grappler, Hulk Hogan, added “First off, they’ve got wrestling in their blood, they were huge Hulk Hogan fans, so they followed not only the smoke and the mirrors that you see on TV, but they followed personally what I was going through: the divorce, the car accident, all the drama, the eight back surgeries, the hip replacements, the knee replacements.”
However, locking Chris Hemsworth down to play the role is more challenging as the star might not include this role into his schedule having just wrapped production for Thor: The Dark World and currently filming for writer-director Michael Mann, in the action thriller Cyber, after which he will be working on the highly anticipated Avengers sequel.
