In case you missed it, renowned local skateboarder Pa’din Musa debuted his specially-designed Vans sneakers made out of traditional woven mat in conjunction with the Vans Checkerboard Day celebration held last Thursday (21st November).
Most recently, Pa’din shared on his Instagram the good news that his very own signature Vans collection has been sold online on eBay for a whopping price of RM4902.22!

Based on the picture above, the limited collection has went through over 81 biddings with price as low as RM82. After 10 days, the price saw an increase in amount before it was sold at the stated amount above.
According to VOCKET, Pa’din (full name Ahmad Fadzil Musa) has chosen the tikar mengkuang (woven mat) as the main highlight to portray the beauty of the traditional Malay handcrafts. It was reported that the proceeds of the sale will go straight to Imagination.org in order to assist young and inspiring artists to showcase their creativity.
This will be the 2nd collaboration between the Penang-born pro skateboarder with Vans. His 1st ever project with the leading skateboarding apparel manufacturer was the special edition “Signature Colourway” sneakers.
