Chart topping ladies are up for a rollercoaster ride as they battle for #1 placings. British singer-songwriter, Ellie Goulding has sent out warning to Lady Gaga that she beat her once before and she will beat her again. DRAMA!
While everyone else focuses on the battle between the gorgeous Katy Perry and the eccentric Gaga, the English starlet came out to spoil the party and is beating Lady Gaga’s comeback single ‘Applause’ to the #1 in the UK charts with her own dance tune, Burn.
In a recent interview, Goulding said “‘It feels quite funny because I remember there was a similar thing when Lights, my album, was up against Gaga’s and it somehow got to No.1 above her album, so it feels like that again”. She added “It’s her big comeback single and she hasn’t released anything in a long time. Hopefully mine will stay at the top. It’s put up a really good fight”.
The race to be on top in the business against the biggest ladies in the industry, Goulding says she is now beating them with the tool of trade that both Gaga and Perry personally handed to her. She also said “It’s mad. I don’t put myself on as high a level as Katy Perry and Lady Gaga. I’ve still got a long way to go,’ she said. ‘I’ve toured with Katy and I met Lady Gaga when I won the Brit Award but they’ve both been an inspiration to me”. She is set to jet back to England over the weekend should she win the chart battles. Its battle of the babes, who will be #1?
