“At this year’s Rainforest World Music Festival, we delivered a weekend full of unique Heineken moments that people can take back to the city”
Jessie Chuah, Marketing Manager
The internationally acclaimed Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) was held at the Sarawak Cultural Village in Santubong, Kuching from June 28 to 30 this year. A sell-out crowd packed the huge festival site, dancing and singing along to the top music acts from across Asia, Europe, the Americas and beyond.
With its mixture of eclectic stage performances and interactive music workshops that encourage collaboration between musicians from every corner of the globe, RWMF, organised in partnership with Heineken, has become a leading destination for thousands of fans of music of all descriptions.
Among the artists that performed were the likes of Palsandae’s energetic acrobatic and dance performance woven with shamanic prayer songs or getting everyone to getting their dance feet on with Rey Vallenato Beto Jamaica’s fiesta dance music from Colombia. Or, headliners Habadekuk, with their Danish take on American bluegrass, adding some extra thump to their sound. But it was Saturday headliners Pine Leaf Boys who really blew the energy levels sky-high.
Among the Heineken themed goodies were the lakeside Heinekabana was the place where invited guests and media could go to kick back and enjoy a perfectly poured Heineken; not to mention it’s watering hole Pit Stops!
Jeannie and Jo Ann of +2dB collaborated with Heineken by paying homage to last year’s festival with a music video titled Stay Calm. Check it out here:
