After the success of the recent Karnival Seni Kreatif Kita 2013 in Pasir Gudang, Johor, My Performing Arts Agency (MYPAA) in collaboration with the National Department for Culture and Arts (JKKN) are pleased to announce another upcoming arts initiative with opportunities and platforms to inspire, educate, and energise both the arts community.
With Malaysia’s arts scene at its infancy stage, how do arts organizations and their leaders grow and sustain themselves? Is there an arts eco-system to support the performing arts industry, the public and the private sectors? Borak Arts Series hoping to break boundaries will feature key leaders in the arts and business including artists, curators, critics and other thinkers of national and international standing, coming together to explore these questions.
On the other hand, industry players will also share their insights and experiences on past projects, successes and learnings; to share with the participants their secret recipe of what works and what doesn’t in the business of the performing arts.
Participants will be able to attend this two-day conference and be enlightened by speakers such as Mr. Jung Jae-wal, President of the Korean Arts Management Service, Ms. Collete Brennan of Australia Council for the Arts and many more!
The Borak Arts Series is one of such platforms and channels to help intensify MYPAA’s and JKKN’s educational efforts in developing the local arts industry. As seats are limited, attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets here. Due to the encouraging support, conference tickets are going at an affordable fee of RM100/pax that includes the two-day conference, lunch, refreshments, networking reception, Tea Networking session, and a 3 delegate kit.
